Financial Planning - Hamon Financial

Financial Planning involves a review of your financial situation and a determination of your goals and needs for the present and future. For example, based on projections, we would determine together, how much you will need to achieve certain objectives (i.e.: retirement at age 60, send your children to University, buy your first home, etc.), and how much you will need to save on an annual basis in order to achieve those objectives. The amount you will need to save will be based in large part on the amount of time you have to achieve your goals, and the level of risk you are prepared to incur in order to save the required amount.

Regardless of your particular set of priorities, the only way in which you can ensure that your wishes will be carried out is by structuring a plan, and with our assistance, have is implemented and monitored. If you do not do adequate financial planning, you could inadvertently disinherit family members, either due to an unforeseen tax liability, or due to the fact that you did not understand how the law would apply when distributing your estate.

In many ways, financial planning is more about emotion than money. The more important part of your financial plan is to determine what is important to you. Once we have identified your needs, we will be able to work together to ensure these needs will be satisfied. For most individuals, their priorities include securing their own financial future, securing the financial future of their family and loved ones, and, if possible, leaving a legacy for others to enjoy. The strategies that we use to achieve these objectives will be different for each person depending on their goals and present situations. Everyone could benefit from a well thought out financial plan.
